Autism -- Autism Research Alliance Australasia

About Autism
English (USA)

This is the official mailing list of the Autism Research Alliance Australasia (ARAA). ARAA was established by Assoc Prof Deb Keen (Griffith University) in 2005 with the following aims:

To further research in the understanding, detection, prevention and treatment of autism.

To provide forums for the sharing and exchange of research within Australasia.

To encourage and establish collaborative research.

To provide support, encouragement, and a forum for new researchers, including research higher degree students.

To promote and establish international research linkages and collaborations.

To establish practice guidelines in education, treatment and diagnosis.

To seek funding for research.

To establish and maintain a national register/data base/website to promote and report research and projects relevant to ASD.

To foster evidence-based practice in the delivery of services to the ASD community.

In order to maintain the focus of the ARAA mailing list and ensure posting remains selective and relevant to the research agenda, list membership will be open to two groups:

(1) researchers and research higher degree students who are actively conducting research in autism and related conditions

(2) practitioners who work with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Members should either be based in Australasia or be engaged in collaboration with Australasian researchers.

If you would like to join the list, please email Jon Brock jbrock@maccs.mq.edu.au, providing your name, member type (researcher or practitioner), and a brief description of your autism-related research or clinical interests.
