Seminar Abstract
Pre-membering perception.
Speaker : Professor Anna Christina (Kia) Nobre, Brain and Cognition Lab, Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford, UK.
Date : 27th of November 2012, 10:30AM until 11:30AM
Location : C5C498, Macquarie University.
We tend to think of memories as a psychological function for re-visiting the past. However, our memories also hold most of our expectations about the context in which relevant events unfold. We have been investigating whether and how our brains put our past experiences to work in order to optimise interactions dynamically during perception
