Language Impairment in Autism

Our research program aims to better understand language development and language difficulties in three groups of children:

  • Typically developing children (i.e., children with age-appropriate language and communication skills)
  • Children with autism
  • Non-autistic children who have language difficulties

We are currently looking for children from each of these groups to take part in the first study of the program, investigating how children identify the sounds of language.

Children must be between the ages of 6 and 18 years and live in the Sydney area.

If you and your child are interested in taking part, we would love to hear from you.

Please read the information for parents.

Then either phone Samantha Calacouris or simply fill in your contact details using the short form at the bottom of this page and we’ll get straight back to you.
